The design of the handle as a standard, wing, bell or professional handle <\/strong> makes a significant contribution to the operating comfort of the shutter release.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Standard handle<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n

The \"standard grip\" is the simple design of a shutter release part for photo shutter release (grip piece). It is made of metal and has a cylindrical disk as an abutment for the index and middle fingers of the trigger hand. Standard grips are often found on simple and light shutter release types with fabric sheath (amateur sector).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A \"wing grip\" is teh special design of a camera shutter release with two lateral protrusions as an abutment for the index and middle fingers of the shutter release hand. Compared to other designs, this results in an enlarged contact surface<\/strong> that enables particularly soft <\/strong> and smooth <\/strong> release operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Special suitability:<\/strong> camera shutters with increased release resistance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bell handle<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n

The term \"bell-shaped grip\" is used to describe teh special bell-shaped design of a grip for photo shutter releases, which is largely direction-independnet - and thus safe to grip <\/strong> from all positions - due to this rotational symmetry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Special suitability:<\/strong> exposure series that require teh handle to be put down between release.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Professional handle<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n

The term \"professional grip\" is used to describe the special design of a grip for use in a professional environment. It combines teh advantages of a wing grip and a bell grip. An enlarged contact surface <\/strong> enables particularly soft and smooth releases, and the directional independence of <\/strong> the ball grip ensures a secure grip in any position.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Special suitability:<\/strong> medium format and view cameras, general camera shutter with increased release resistance, extensive series of shots with long exposure times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For better handling during long exposures, eds is usually equipped with a release lock, which in its form as a set screw <\/strong> or ball brake <\/strong> keeps the shutter release depressed for the duration of the exposure times.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Adjusting screw<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n

The simpler form of the two locking variants \"set screw\" <\/strong> and \"ball brake\". <\/strong> After the shutter is released, it is tightened by hand and released again in the same way after the exposure time has elapsed. The ball brake is more suitable for series of exposures with long exposures times, since its locking function does not change with each release.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

With the ball brake, the locking functions is retained after the release process until it is cancelled by specific action on teh part of the operator. This not only results in a significant increase in operating convenience and speed for successive exposures, but also the possibility of single-handed operation at the same time.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

For successive exposures with long times, the use ofa ball is recommended. In contrast to set screws, without a locking function, <\/strong> it remains in place after triggering<\/strong>until it is reset to normal operation<\/strong> by the operator.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

wird die Kugelbremse durch Dr\u00fccken des Stellringes gel\u00f6st und die R\u00fcckstellfeder im Inneren unterbricht den
Belichtungsvorgang.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bei kurzen Belichtungszeiten soll die Kugelbremse nicht arrettieren. Sie wird daher durch Einschrauben in das
Griffst\u00fcck au\u00dfer Funktion ge\u0002setzt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
