The large contact surface of the wing grip forms a stable abutment for the index and middle finger of teh shutter release hand and thus enables particularly soft and smooth release. The ball brake allows comfortable long-time exposures, as its locking function is retained after release until it is reset to normal operation by the operator. The rotating end piece makes it easier to screw teh shutter release into the camera.

Special suitability: Kameraverschlüsse mit erhöhtem Auslösewiderstand, Aufnahmeserien mit langen Belichtungszeiten, häufiger Wechsel des Auslösers.

Operation ball brake

Locking function

Long exposure times: For preparation, the ball brake is first released by turning the adjusting ring, thus activating its function.

In the picture: The tip of the pin points into the gap which then opens between the handle and the set screw.

Release

Exposure start: After the shutter is released, the shutter button is locked and the exposure starts.

In the picture: The pressed release plate held down by the ball brake.

Get

Exposure end: After the exposure time has elapsed, the ball brake is released by pressing teh adjustment ring and the return spring inside interrupts the exposure process.

In the picture:The thumb of the trigger hand rests on the crowded setting ring. A light tap is sufficient to release the lock. The ball brake itself remains active for any subsequent exposure until it is deactivated again by screwing the adjustment ring into the handle.

Normal operation

For short exposure times, the ball brake should not arrest. It is therefore disabled by screwing it into the handle.

In the picture: Above the index finger of the release hand, you can see the knurled adjustment ring of the ball brake. When screwed in, it rets on the grip section.
