Coat
The structure and condition of the sheathing largely determine the possible applications of the releases:
Way Part:The way part corresponds in its functionality to the cylinder of a mechanical or hydraulic press and consists of two components: The outer, sometimes multi-layered "jacket" protects the release from damaging environmental influences. Its materials (fabric, plastic, metal mesh)are partly responsible for the elasticity, application possibilities and service life of the release. The "soul" insideis responsible for the transmission of force during release. It usually consists of a steel spring which is guided in a flexible band spiral. In the case of industrial releases, a rigid metal tube is often used instead of the band spiral, which can be precisely bent in the case of a given travel (industrial release). In order to minimize friction losses during power transmission, care should be taken when selecting the material to ensure the best possible sliding properties.
Fabric
Fabric sheaths provide good elasticity and ease of movement in dry environments.

Ambient conditions: Humidity and moisture can cause changes in the length of fabric-wrapped releases. Reliable tripping can no longer be guaranteed in such cases.
Tip: For outdoor use or laboratory applications, we recommend our series with plastic sheathing.

Grip section:The design of professionals combines the advantages of wing grip and bell grip. An enlarged contact surface enables particularly soft and smooth releases and the directional independence of offers the option of automatic locking of the release stroke. With long exposure times ans successive exposures, this results in a significant increase in operating comfort ans sequence speed.
End piece: The rotating end piece makes is easier to replace the trigger. Above the end piece, the release is additionally reinforced with an anti-knik spring.This prevents teh release pin from jamming in the camera even under high tensile stress.

Black fabric, standard handle with adjusting screw
Available lengths: 25, 50, 100cm.
Handle: The release stroke can be locked with the adjusting screw.This makes it much easier to taken long exposures compared to shutter releases without locking.

The simplest design of our cable releases with rigid end piece.
Tips:Releases with a rotating end piece are easier to replace. Release locks (adjusting screw or ball brake) are advantageous for long exposure times.
Plastic
The more robust design. Instead of fabric, the trigger is covered with a shrunk plastic coating. Thos makes it much more stable in length and less sensitive to moisture and mechanical damage. Available in red, blue, black and white in lengths between 25cm - 100cm.
FRS-PRKB
