The design for the professional combines the advantages of wing handle and bell handle. An enlarged contact surface enables particularly soft and smooth release, and the directinal independence of the bell grip ensures a secure in any position. The ball brake enables convenient long-times exposures, as its locking function remains in place after release until the operator returns it to normal operation. Above the end piece, the shutter release is reinforced with am anti-kink spring to prevent the release pin, which actuates teh shutter release in the camera, from tilting. The end piece itself can be rotated, which makes it mcuh easier to screw the shutter release into the camera. vergrößerte Auflagefläche ermöglicht besonders

Special suitability: harsh enviromental conditions, camera shutter with increased release resistance, extensive series of shots wirh long exposure times, frequent changing of the shutter release.

Operation ball brake

Locking function

Long exposure times: For preparation, the ball brake is first released by turning the adjusting ring, thus activating its function.

In the picture: The tip of the pin points into the gap which then opens between the handle and the set screw.

Release

Exposure start: After the shutter is released, the shutter button is locked and the exposure starts.

In the picture: The pressed release plate held down by the ball brake.

Get

Exposure end: After the exposure time has elapsed, the ball brake is released by pressing teh adjustment ring and the return spring inside interrupts the exposure process.

In the picture:The thumb of the trigger hand rests on the crowded setting ring. A light tap is sufficient to release the lock. The ball brake itself remains active for any subsequent exposure until it is deactivated again by screwing the adjustment ring into the handle.

Normal operation

For short exposure times, the ball brake should not arrest. It is therefore disabled by screwing it into the handle.

In the picture: Above the index finger of the release hand, you can see the knurled adjustment ring of the ball brake. When screwed in, it rets on the grip section.
