Path parts

Flexible designs

The majority of our industrial releases have a flexible way part. Their flexibility (bendability) is achieved by guiding a steel spring in a flexible tape spiral. This spiral is encased in black plastic and galvanized metal mesh in transparent shrink tubing (Fig.2 u. 3).

Tube shape

However, flexibility in routing is not always required. Quite often, industrial applications require the exact opposite. Thereforce, you can use our pipe releases in all situations where the routing is specified by design and must be strictly abhered to.

In this design, the steel spring, stainless is desired, is guided in a special brass tube, which can be bent manually without much effort according to the path in the unit/system specified by the design. The brass tube itself is made of a special alloy which has these bending properties. For protection against environmental influences, the path part is covered with a shrink hose (Fig.1).

The secure the path, the tubes are bent to the correct shape either by template or by hand according to your specifications. Compared to the flexible design, teh tube shape is characterized by its significantly lower frictional resistance.

You can find more information about the way parts and jacket in the chapter Photo shutter/technique.
